Hailing from Wakefield, Quebec, this dynamic bluegrass band includes Jan Purcell singing lead and playing fiddle, Jon Purcell on guitar and lead vocals, Bryan Higgins on banjo and vocals, and Dickson Raynard on bass and vocals.  Drawn to the drive and spirit of bluegrass, Jan Purcell and Pine Road entertain you with traditional, contemporary and original tunes. Jan and the boys are on the 2008 North to Ontario CD and released their own second album, Bluegrass Gypsy in the spring of 2008. You’ll be tapping your toes and humming along when you see and hear Jan Purcell and Pine Road.

After years of dedication and playing, Jan Purcell and Pine Road have developed into the very best bluegrass/roots music outfit in the Gatineau Hills.  They are a shining example of our regional music scene and would truly do us proud wherever they travel.  Success is indeed finding them, for good reason:  they are fine people playing fine music; it is as simple as that.
